Messages From The Ancient Ones – Next Steps

Your next step may not be obvious.

Your challenges may attempt to obscure your next step.

Your doubt may cloud the way.

Yet, you can step forward with trust. Each step forward will reveal another step. Trust the one-step-at-a-time process and the way will be revealed. Soon you will see your journey more clearly. We applaud you for your forward movement. For you it may seem small. Yet, to us, your efforts are huge.

Still, there are some days that you allow auto-pilot take over.

Certainly, auto-pilot is important for the little repetitions things that require no new thought or insights, yet sometimes you use this method of transportation for all of life. This cheats you out of experiencing the little beauties of your journey as well as the wonderful opportunities that slip past unnoticed.

Just stop throughout your day and check in to see if you are present. Are you fixated upon a situation and not really alive? Are you intentional in your presence?

It is when you are engaged in intentional presence that we can assist you more easily. It is when you are engaged in intentional presence that we can send signs and guidance to you.

Here we are! We hope you can notice us even more fully today and the rest of your tomorrows. We truly do walk with you.

Decluttering

Phil and I cleaned out our back room yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. We have a master bedroom, an office/computer room, and a work-out room with weights and stuff. Well, the “stuff” in that room made it really hard to do anything.

Last year’s Christmas decorations were still on the floor, because I couldn’t get to the closet to put them away. Truth be told, even if I got to the closet, that was so junked up I couldn’t have gotten that box in there!

So, we dove in and got it done.

It took a couple of hours. Much of that time was looking at what was there and asking each other, will we use this ever again? Do we want this? Can we let it go?

Sometimes the answers were easy and things got move to the give-away pile or into the trash. Why WERE we keeping those bits of junk? Other times, the answers didn’t happen. No, I will never use the hand-made giant bunnies that were my mothers. Can I give them away? Nope. Can I give them to charity? Nope. For now, they got tucked into a bag for storage and redeposited into the back recesses of the closet.

Phil was wonderful about it and didn’t give me a bad time about keeping them. Of course, I didn’t give him a bad time about keeping some old car magazines that he might read again one day.

The heart just has its attachments to things. As long as we have room for them and they have value to our hearts, they can remain in our world. It was easy to see what we could release and those items effortlessly found their way out of the room.

Spiritually, we might want to take a look at what we are holding on to. Is it a truth or concept that serves us and blesses us still? Are we using that principle to guide our lives? Is it an old guilt that no longer serves to restrict us? Is it an old duty that takes the joy out of our service to the world? And the biggest question of all, do we cling to a false god of fear rather than the Divine Source of Love?

When we really look at that stuff, we can easily see what we are willing to release and what we want to hang on to for just awhile longer. We can notice what’s working and has value and keep it close at hand so it’s usable to us each day, like prayer, meditation, gratitude, and seeking guidance.

Once we got the work-out room de-cluttered, we could also dust and vacuum. It was a giant allergy pit. Now that it’s all clear, I go in there just to look around! I can see my watercolor supplies ready for me to start my next project. It brings me hope and anticipation that hadn’t been there in a while.

Spiritual de-cluttering does the same thing to our spirit! It grants us hope and anticipation that might have been hidden behind the old belief patterns or patterns of thought that no longer serve.

How does one de-clutter spiritually?

Look to see what’s not working so well in your life. There might be a stuck energy around that situation. A “should” or a “got to” or maybe a regret attached. Just notice what’s there. Without judgment, just notice. Judging makes it dig in like a tick! You’ll never extract that thing! Just notice with an open heart.

Ask yourself if that thought or belief still serves you? If it serves to make you feel badly, you get to choose whether you want to continue to feel badly or if you wish to move beyond that. Spiritual conviction implies noticing a behavior that doesn’t serve one’s self or others and making a conscious decision to change. This in no way requires guilt or shame. Those are worthless beyond an initial awareness of a wrongdoing. When we get attached to guilt or shame, we don’t really change, we just hide, shutdown, and tune out. We get to throw that out and replace it with right action based upon love, joy, and compassion.

Once we got our room cleaned up, unwanted things had to go into the dumpster. Spiritually speaking, old patterns go into a spiritual dumpster . . . not into our friend’s ear. Toss that crud to Divine Source who can sort and sift through all that and clean it up. The ultimate re-cycling! Every sorrow or sorrowful thing we’ve thought or done can be released and cleared along with all the distorted beliefs and old patterns of thought (like, “I’m worthless.” – that one’s definitely got to go!!!)

Once that old stuff is tossed, the good usable stuff can be accessed more quickly. And just like the cleaned out work-out room, a sense of peace descends and rests within us. It feels good to get clear! It feels great to be free! It feels wonderful to receive peace!

Messages From The Ancient Ones – OK to say No

It's okay to say, "no".

Your compassionate heart wants to be of service and wants to help others on the journey. Yet, you forget your exist within a finite body. This finite body has its limitations. So does your energy reserves and your pocketbook.

God is the Ultimate Source. You are not. You may be an expression of Divine Love and have opportunity to share and assist. This is good. We thank you for that.

If you find that you are blessing others by being a blessing and feel empty afterwards, you may be over-blessing.

Please remove yourself from being the ultimate source for another human being. By over-serving, you close the door for another to the Source. You also close the door for yourself to Divine Source by standing in the way rather than Following The Way.

As your energetic reserves dwindle, recharge yourself through prayer, reading spiritual books, receiving a healing, quiet time in meditation, getting your hands and feet in the dirt to plant a flower or to just "be" for a bit. Allow yourself to be blessed - by others and by Divine Source.

Once recharged, you may bless and be blessed. Don't know how to say "no". Perhaps you could say, "I am taking some down time today." or "I'll consider it and get back to you." or "No, thank you." or "What might your other options be?"

We honor your compassionate heart in this physical journey and walk with you as your acquire a greater sense of balance and joy. We encourage you to focus your compassionate heart upon yourself, also. We bless you in this.

Moving Beyond Worry

You’ve probably heard me say this before. Worry is a prayer in reverse. It’s true. Yet, we find ample opportunity to worry. Worry about what might go wrong . . . Worry about something bad that might happen again.

Worry is effortless.

It takes no effort to find ourselves stuck in the morass of worry and fear. Our brain naturally goes there. Our ancestors used worry to keep themselves safe. The lived through a wolf attack. Would a wolf attack again? They had to be on guard about that. That worry kept them alive.

We don’t have to worry about those same kinds of things. We worry about whether someone will not like me if I speak up. We worry whether we have enough money to pay the bills. We worry whether our health will get better . . . or worse.

Worry takes energy from us. It doesn’t help us get creative in finding ways to pay those bills nor does it help us heal. It draws from us rather than giving us anything!

Prayer on the other hand, works wonders.

Yet, we have make time to pray . . . or at least we think we do1

Yes, those beautiful moments of serenity when we can speak with Divine Source open and unafraid are truly awesome. Yet, how long does it take to worry? Only a second!

Our prayers can be just as immediate, just as quick, and just as powerful in a good way. As our thoughts of, “Oh, no, this could go wrong” come up, we can shift them and instantly pray, “Help me.” “Show me the next step.” “Help, please?”

Just because we don’t languish over a lengthy prologue to address the Almighty, doesn’t mean that we aren’t heard. On the contrary! When we shift into the mode to address Divine Source, Divine Source is already noticing and listening and most likely moving things into action in our behalf.

I am often amazed that I can utter a quick prayer for assistance and within moments something happens to let me know that Divine Source has already been acting in my behalf.

One day, I was having a bad day. Depression was kicking my butt. I knew it was a chemical imbalance and I was doing my part to shift that with supplements and nutrition. At the same time, I was really struggling to get my head above water.

I prayed the simple prayer, “Help me,” then went on with my scheduled activities for the day. Within a half hour – less than a half hour!! – I heard the doorbell. Thinking it was my grandson coming by to pick up something up, I opened the door to an amazing bouquet of flowers! They were sent by a friend whom I hadn’t spoken with in quite a while because she had moved to Montana! Know what the card said? Something like, “I felt like you needed a pick-me-up today. Love you!”

All That Is, knew the depths of my struggles before I did. All That Is awakened compassion in a friend hours before I needed it. All That Is touched a heart hundreds of miles away.

We neglect to pray because we fear we are not giving Divine Source honor or reverence. Those prayers-on-the-fly are heard!! Those prayers-on-the-fly are answered!

If you know who you are talking to, Divine Source (All That Is, Holy One, Lord, Creator, God, Loving Spirit of Light – whatever works for you) knows who you are talking to as well! Prayers-on-the-fly yield answers-on-the-fly!

Exit Points

The timing of a person’s passing can be a time of great mystery. Why is it, some people have a slight illness and pass away and others endure horrific health issues for many years? Isn’t it odd that people are struck down in their prime while others live a much longer life?

I believe that we all have “Exit Points” along the way. Our soul/spirit has the opportunity to choose out or to choose in. We don't always see those exit points yet some are more than obvious - the near-fatal car accident, the life-threatening illness. Those opportunities are presented so that we can begin something new on a new plane of existence. While the human will may wish to perish, but (as those who are depressed and wish life to end) the soul/spirit can endure a great deal before it releases the breath of life. The human being may wish to live, but when the soul/spirit has completed all that it came here to do it returns to “All That Is.

So, do we have any choice in the matter? I believe our soul/spirit is given opportunities to Exit. We are given Exit Points.

What is an Exit Point? An Exit Point is a moment given to the soul/spirit to choose. That moment of choice can look like a near-miss accident or a serious health issue. It could be one of those experiences that leave us feeling like we are very lucky to be alive. Ever had one of those? More like, how MANY of those have you experienced?

Those Exit Points have a powerful spiritual significance. Often our destiny has been fulfilled (at least as far as the soul/spirit is concerned) or we have achieved some measure of success or acceptance, or we have been stuck in a pattern from which we are ready to be released. If the soul chooses to remain in this life-line/time-line, then it experiences a “Living Reincarnation” wherein it accepts a new destiny or a new focus for life.

Things that may have been of primary importance no longer matter or don’t matter to the same level of interest. We get to take the lessons already learned and move beyond where we are into a more enriched experience of life with a greater spiritual significance. This gives the soul/spirit a re-birth of sorts without having to go through the dying process and infancy in a new life (for those who embrace the concept of reincarnation).

"Living Reincarnation" - an opportunity to be and do something new and different without having to perish changes everything. We reinvent ourselves in such a way that we aren't the same person at all. We may even choose to change our name or even change our face (or other body parts) surgically. We utilize an Exit Point to propel us into life-altering change. Because we are ready for it. Our soul/spirit released the old way of being and is now moving into a new state of being.

For some those changes cannot happen fast enough. (Isn't it interesting and ponderable that those that are urgently wishing to die, don't. And those that long for more time are faced with their own mortality? Hmm)

You may look back on your own life and recognize that you may have changed careers or experienced a big move right after one of those “near-miss” situations.

How do you know what to do with that Exit Point experience? The soul/spirit knows what it is ready to receive, know, and do . . .even if you don’t!

Someone dear to me, my brother, recently lost their loved one to a long dance with cancer. After my sister-in-law’s passing, my brother declared he couldn’t live without her. He said it over and over. We took a workshop together called the Sedona Method. This gave him an opportunity to look at life - and what his life was going to be - in a new way. He then was able to say, “I don’t like it, but I’m going to find a way to live without her.”

Right after that trip, he took another trip and ended up getting a bad chest cold while he was gone. When he got himself to the doctor, he was told that fluid was building up in his lungs. There was no pneumonia, just the fluid.

I firmly believe that if he hadn’t shifted his thinking, that pneumonia could have taken hold more easily and he could have perished. It was an Exit Point. Since that time, he has been doing a lot of shifting. He is not the same person he was 6 months ago.

Sometime ago, I experienced an Exit Point. It wasn’t an accident or an illness, but it was powerfully life changing none-the-less! I was resting and realized I wasn’t breathing. I wasn’t afraid. I didn’t feel the need to draw a breath. It was very peaceful. (I don’t believe this was just a sleep apnea experience – I believe it was different than that.)

A visual of Phil and our pets and our grandchildren appeared in my consciousness. A voice said to me, “Are you willing to live for them?”

I thought about Phil. About how much he loves me and how much I love him. I thought about my grandchildren and my pets and how much I love them. Now I'm not sure how much was conscious thought or was just an acknowledgment of the idea. It didn't seem to be an active consideration, just an awareness of my loving connection with my beloved, Phil my family and my pets.

So, I said, “Yes, I am.”

The voice said, “Then breathe deeply.”

I sucked in a deep breath and went back into a deep sleep.

Sometime later, I awoke to realize that, again, I wasn’t breathing again. I still felt wrapped in a peaceful state of being. I was shown The Divine Fellowship building and its people. The voice now said, “Are you willing to live for these?”

This time I found myself aware of The Divine Fellowship and how much love was there for me to give and receive. More time. Again the voice, “Are you willing to live for these?” I became aware of information that I have not yet shared with others and I said, “Yes, I am.”

The voice said, “Then breathe deeply.”

I did. And feel back into a deep sleep.

I don't know how much time passed when I awakened again to know that the breath of life was still within me, though I wasn’t inhaling nor exhaling at that moment. Like my world was suspended. Peace still accompanied me.

A voice again asked me if I was willing to live for a specific purpose. I cannot remember what I was asked. As I remember back, I recall feeling a sense of anticipation.

Again, I agreed to live.

The voice then revealed to me that there would be challenges with this new life and asked, “Are you willing to accept these challenges along with this new purpose?”

I said, “Yes, I am.”

The voice said, “Then breathe deeply.”

As I breathed again, I could feel the normal rhythm of life’s breath return to me and I drifted off into a restful and relaxed sleep. (Sometimes, I think I experience these things so that I can share them with others so we all can have a greater understanding of who we are spiritually.)

When I awoke again, I felt fine and recalled the experience clearly – all except the third request. I figure my soul/spirit knows, and with God’s help will direct my journey to fulfillment. There have been challenges already on this path, along with some great blessings.

So..... I believe I was offered an Exit Point and was my choice to stay was honored. I believe the soul/spirit has an agreement with God (Spirit, Source, whatever that is for you) and knows the lessons it came here to learn. The soul/spirit also knows the lessons it came here to participate in teaching others. When the lessons are done, the soul is ready to move on. We may want to live and do more things, yet if the soul has completed its tasks - fulfilled its contract with Spirit, the soul/spirit will set up an Exit Point. If we are done with this life and our soul's contract isn't, it's not going to set up an Exit Point no matter how much we stamp our feet and demand out.

If you have experienced an Exit Point, rest easy, knowing that your soul has chosen to carry you further in this life and to bless you with new experiences and more opportunities for love and joy.

If you haven’t experienced an Exit Point yet, rest easy knowing that now you will know what it’s all about and can face the experience with the power of the soul/spirit fully aware and armed with hope and positive anticipation.

An Exit Point is a gift from God as it offers the soul a release of this life path and its challenges and struggles. Choosing in or choosing out grants us great blessings either way the soul/spirit decides.

We can now also allow others their journey, even if we would hold on to them longer in this life. We miss them. However, their soul/spirit is fulfilling its destiny. The soul/spirit will override our personal preferences for life or death. The soul/spirit knows its truth and journeys into Love and Light whether it chooses to remain or chooses to cross over into spiritual realms.

If the soul is staying here, then there are wonderful things yet to come. If the soul is getting ready to exit then there are wonderful things yet to come! Either way, we win! How cool is that?!?

I believe that I'm in bonus time. I hope to make the most of it and do my best. Maybe I'll have years yet to live. Maybe I'll have another Exit Point tomorrow. Either way, I'm choosing to live what life I have with love, kindness, compassion and power. The power is there for each of us to wield in a good way.

How about you? You ready for a bonus round?

You can consciously create for yourself “Living Reincarnation” without the necessity of an Exit Point. Your power of choice wields great power. Start making the changes your desire now. Begin that new way of being now. That fresh start need not be traumatic nor difficult. Your conscious moment-to-moment choice of awareness allows the journey to unfold. The trick rests within knowing what we really desire and require . . . stay tuned for an article about that coming soon.

Messages From The Ancient Ones – Creating Grace

Your world has so much to offer you. We encourage you to take advantage of all there is here to bless you on your journey.

It is quite easy to perceive your environment as hostile. There is much in your world to prove this to you.

Yet, this assumption dismisses and hides the truth of the grace granted to your world by Divine Source. As humans, it is easy to recognize the chaos you create that appears to darken the grace flowing to your world. Yet, grace still flows!

Yet, notice what wonderful things human-kind have created to bless one another . . . to make life simpler and less burdensome on many levels. This creative energy bases itself upon the same creation energy that emerged in the beginning of time.

You have access to this creation energy when you seek it. This creation energy can express itself as works of art and also as problem solving. When you release the negative bias that abides as common thought forms within humanity and seek this creative energy, by grace it is freely given.

Once you tap into this creative energy, you have an abundance of insights, awareness, creativity to not only solve current difficulties in your life, but also to share with others.

In this way creativity blesses you and others. Grace adds to grace and all are blessed.

May you become the blessing you already are!
