The first Sunday in November marks the anniversary of the first meeting of The Divine Fellowship. That was 28 years ago. Seems like forever ago and like it was yesterday all at the same time.
Lots of changes through the years and lots of things remained the same. People came and went and people stayed. Hearts grew and changed along the way. The message and the mission remain the same.
We are here for Joy. We are here for Enlightenment. We are here for Spiritual Sanctuary.
The Joy isn’t just about Phil’s jokes every Sunday, it’s about finding joy in our day-to-day walk with Spirit. Our journey happens here on this Earth, yet our walk with Spirit empowers that journey. Without joy, our walk becomes duty and drudgery. Without joy, our journey fills itself with problems and strife. Claiming sacred joy, we bring a light-heartedness into every step of the way. That sacred joy may be a bit difficult to discover sometimes. Often because we’ve been taught that anything worthwhile must be earned with struggles or life-crushing dedication. Joy awakens from the light within the soul. Joy transcends the struggle and grants us a buoyancy that uplifts us into a higher level of awareness – which is in truth enlightenment.
Enlightenment lights up the soul and grants expanded Joy! Enlightenment allows us to not have to know it all but be willing to learn and grow. This light within the soul guides our steps along our journey. This light shines out to assist others as they seek their own path of joy. This light burns brightly within our inner being to grant us an unrelenting passion for learning and doing the next right thing. This light of enlightenment receives fuel through joy and Divine Love.
It is within this joyful light of love that we feel safe. We feel safe to step over old patterns that keep us locked down. Safety grants us the power to truly be true to our own purpose and destiny. When we feel safe, we no longer need to criticize others nor feel the sting of their criticism. When we claim this joyful light of love as our safe harbor, we truly can shine - we can truly express joy.
Each one at The Divine Fellowship holds these qualities of joy, enlightenment, and spiritual sanctuary within their own soul. None of us holds the title of perfection. Yet, in our own way, we perfectly become the best we can be.
The ever-unfolding future stands ahead of us. We may have no clue where that might lead. With Joy, Enlightenment, and Spiritual Sanctuary embodied within the Divine
Fellowship and within each of us, we move forward with courage and childlike wonder. Whatever unfolds from here, unfolds for our benefit and blessing.
