Have you ever noticed that your perspective shifts when you have a deep interest in something? For example, when you gaze upon a sleeping child, (or a sleeping puppy or kitten,) you may feel a sweetness wash over you. When you gaze upon your own sleeping child (or pet) the feelings intensify. When you gaze upon a grandchild or great grandchild, the feeling intensifies further.
Why is this? This is because you view them with the eyes of the heart. The heart perceives the loving connection established by lineage or by choice. When one chooses to care, the perception intensifies. It is as if the heart has its own set of eyes.
With this understanding, we can further develop our visioning abilities. Let us start by remembering an ice cream cone. Did you have one last week? Last summer? Can you remember the flavor? Can you visualize the treat in your mind’s eye?
Now, can you remember your very first ice cream cone? Can you “see” the experience in your mind’s eye? Because it was a first, it may have strong emotional energy attached to it – energy of joy or delight. This can intensify the visual.
Now, call to mind a person that you care about. Do you see them in your mind’s eye?
Now, let’s amplify our care for them and hold them in deep compassion. Perhaps they have a difficulty now or a longing that they’d like to see fulfilled. With this deep compassion and this understanding of their difficulty, ask to be shown by Divine Source something that could bless them now.
You may sense them being surrounded by a blessed energy. Or you may see that blessed energy as a color. Or you may see them being offered a drink of water – symbolically this is refreshment for the soul offered from Divine Source. Whatever you see, feel, or experience is being experienced by your mind’s eye and the eyes of your heart. With this information, perhaps there is something you can do to assist. Perhaps not. Know that Divine Source is the true Source of all that is necessary and will bless in ways that we cannot comprehend.
Honor the person you care about and release them from your vision. Know that you have blessed them with this kindness.
