Bayou Meditation Interpretation

1. Your Guide: What part of you needs attention?
A. Young person
Your inner child and sense of childlike wonder.
B. Middle-aged person
Your confident, competent inner warrior.
C. Older person
Your wise, compassionate self.
2. Your Watercraft: What does your journey require now?
A. Canoe, rowboat, or anything with oars
Find balance and pace yourself.
B. Motorboat
Power up and go for it!
C. Airboat
Allow inspiration to move you forward quickly.
3. The Fork in the Waterway: What choice is before you?
A. Left fork
Clear the past. Honor it, release it, and claim its wisdom.
B. Right fork
Create new goals and dreams.
C. Straight ahead
Act on your existing goals and dreams.
4. The Wild Creature: What challenge is in front of you?
A. Gator in the water
Wait until the time is right, and then go for it with everything you have!
B. Bobcat at the water’s edge
Step out of hiding and allow your courage to be seen.
C. Snake hanging in a tree
Hang on to the truth of who you are.
5. The Meal: What does your soul require to heal and grow?
A. Shish kabob with meat and vegetables

Bayou Meditation: Reverse Interpretation

Remembering my own value and values.
B. Watch
Making time to play, time to work, and time to share in equal measure.
C. Hunting knife or pocketknife
Cutting myself free from the weight of opinions - both others’ and my own.
7. Spirit now gives me:

Wisdom and insight from a higher realm.
