Had a really weird dream last night. It’s still “haunting” me. Funny how that happens. I remember in the dream, feeling a touch on my shoulder and then being teleported to a warzone and defending helpless people. After making sure they were safe, I was touched on the shoulder and brought back to my normal life. When I was touched, I would be teleported to where I was needed and given super powers while being dressed in white flowing garments. This kept happening and I became known as “The Apparition” – a super hero.

I don’t know what bothered me more, taking violent actions (even thought it was to defend others) or the fact that I never knew when it was going to happen. I awoke being afraid to get in the shower. Pretty silly. (Actually, I might want to sell the idea to Marvel – lol).

Yet, here it is, hours later, and I’m still feeling the effects of a dream.

Our bodies respond to what our mind is doing, thinking, processing. Our hormones respond to what our mind is doing, thinking, processing. Our health responds to what our mind is doing, thinking, processing. Our emotions respond to what the mind is doing, thinking, or processing. The mind is a powerful tool.

Giving my mind the task of writing to you, allows my mind to switch gears and shift focus. This in turn, allows my body and emotions to disengage from the night’s dream. Perhaps it’s a diversion. Perhaps it’s a re-set. Either way, I can move forward into something new and different.

I’m hoping to apply the same technique as I re-set my intentions for healthier living. I had a few low energy days and unfortunately, habituated the sitting around pattern. Boy, it’s hard to shake that! Once I’ve parked my backside down, it’s really hard to hoist it back up and get moving again. It will be imperative for me to find something to capture my attention. Sitting activates boredom which activates more sitting. (Crazy, right?!?) Good ole’ human nature!

I generally have lots of interests . . . unfortunately none of them interest me when I’ve gotten locked into the boredom mode. It’s like being a kid on vacation with all the time in the world and “nothin’ to do.” All the things I COULD do seem boring.

So, it’s time to cultivate something NEW. I wonder what that could be? Time to seek. Time to open the eyes of my heart and look for something that might interest me and generate a spark of interest. Once that spark ignites, there’s not much to hold me back.

Maybe I’ll write a story about “The Apparition.” Could be fun!

I’ll keep you posted!
